Michigan New Jobs Training Program

Designed to support job growth, the Michigan New Jobs Training Program provides grant funding to employers that are creating new positions and hiring new employees. The program covers the cost of training for eligible new hires—giving your team the skills they need while keeping your budget in check.

Key Features:

  • Must work through a Michigan community college like GOCC
  • Can be used for industry certifications, technical skills, and leadership development
  • Backed by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC)

Going PRO Talent Fund

The Going PRO Talent Fund provides annual training grants to help employers develop the skills of their existing workforce—and grow their competitive edge.

This grant is managed by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and administered through Michigan Works!.

Many GOCC employer partners have successfully used the Going PRO Talent Fund for customized training programs in manufacturing, technology, leadership, and skilled trades.
