Watercolor Workshop

Build your skills. Explore color. Create with confidence.

Discover the possibilities of watercolor in this beginner-friendly, two-session workshop. Instructor Johnathon Molvik will introduce foundational watercolor techniques, including:

  • Wet-on-wet
  • Wet-on-dry
  • Dry-on-wet
  • Dry-on-dry

You’ll explore color theory by creating a color wheel and practicing color-mixing techniques. You’ll also learn approaches to painting landscapes and still life while building confidence with composition, layering and brush control.

This workshop is ideal for beginners and anyone looking to strengthen their watercolor skills in an encouraging studio setting.

Think you can’t make art? This welcoming, two-session workshop will help you see creativity differently.

Through playful exercises, experimental methods and automatic processes inspired by Surrealist artists, instructor Johnathon Molvik will guide you through new ways of creating without pressure. You’ll learn to trust your instincts, recognize what you already enjoy and move beyond the inner critic that can stand in the way of creativity.

There is no right or wrong way to participate. Come ready to experiment, have fun and discover what you can create.

No drawing or painting experience is required.
